8 Tech Jobs That Are On The Rise



If there’s one job market that isn’t slowing down, it’s tech. As advancements in technology are going to the next level, the business enterprises are getting more social, business-focused, and obsessed with the internet. As thriving companies continue to digitalize and exciting new startups are arising everywhere, we’re seeing an increased demand for qualified tech professionals. 


Here is a list of hottest and newest tech jobs that are worth chasing, as reported by Mashable.


Software Engineer: This is one job that is been so constant in providing employment over the years and it will continue to be so. Software engineers are responsible
for the complete life cycle of a new or a modified software product. These individuals work on the design, development, maintenance and evaluation of computer software and systems. Software engineers' duties can vary depending on the company, but some of these professionals even work for developing new applications and project planning to upgrading existing software and providing security support. Most employers prefer software engineer graduates with a degree in computation, software engineering, physics, mathematics and electronics or with a degree in related field.  For graduates without computing experience or an appropriate qualification, a postgraduate IT conversion course could land you a job in this profession.
Average Annual Base Salary: 1.67 lakh to 6.43 lakh as per PayScale



Web Developer: A web developer is a programmer who specializes in, or is specifically engaged in, the development of World Wide Web applications, or distributed network applications that are run over HTTP from a web server to a web browser. Web developers are also involved in the design and working of a website and can be found working in all types of organizations, including large corporations and governments, small and medium sized companies, or even as freelancers. Some web developers work for one organization as a permanent full-time employee, while others may work as independent consultants, or on contract basis for an employment agency. Education needed to become a web developer is an associate’s degree in web design or related field. Web developers need knowledge of both programming and graphic design.


Average Annual Base Salary: 0.94 lakh to 5.27 lakh


Network Analyst: A network analyst job revolves around the construction of computer systems for large businesses. Unlike many other IT jobs these professionals are involved in two aspects of work; one is the business side as well as the technical side so you'll need to consider both of these areas—non technical area has to identify problems in the business followed by technical area which gives computer-based solutions. A bachelor’s degree in a computer or information science is the basic requirement for this profession. Some firms hire analysts with business or from arts background who have skills in information technology or computer programming.
Average Annual Base Salary: 1.22 lakh to 6.84 lakh

Mobile Developer: No surprises in this because mobile software developers are in serious demand. The profession is projected to grow 22 percent from 2012 to 2022, much faster than any other occupations, as reported by Bureau Of Labor Statistics. The main reason for the rapid growth of this profession is a large increase in the use of Smartphones.  Mobile software developers are the creative minds behind computer programs. Some of these professionals develop the applications that allow people to do specific tasks on a computer or on the mobile platforms. And others develop the fundamental systems that run these devices or control networks. Software developers usually need to have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related field.
Average Annual Base Salary: 1.20 lakh to 7.68 lakh


IT Manager: An information systems manager is thoroughly responsible for the computer systems within a company, overseeing installation, and ensuring backup systems operate effectively. These individuals are even involved in purchasing hardware and software, for an organization and contributing to organizational policy regarding quality standards and strategic planning. Information systems managers work in organization of various sizes, and they usually work along with staff of technicians, programmers and database administrators reporting to them.
Average Annual Base Salary: 3.45 lakh to  20.54 lakh


Sales Development: Sales is a great way for digital savvy people to get into tech, without having an engineering or computer science background. Of course, the roles these individuals play are completely different because those who work in sales are completely focused on generating revenue and keeping a tech company financially sound, while other tech professionals such as developers and programmers focus very much on the product.
Average Annual Base Salary: 2.48 lakh to 14.54 lakh


Database Administrator: A database administrator is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a company’s database. Additional role includes the development and design of database strategies, system monitoring, improving database performance and capacity that has adverse effect on planning for future expansion requirements. Some of these individuals may also plan, co-ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database by using cloud services which is off late the best tool for saving data. Individuals opting this profession require a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field to perform job duties as a database administrator.
Average Annual Base Salary: 1.75 lakh to 9.73 lakh


Chief Digital Officer: This is one profession that most of us are not heard of, but the position is gathering demand off late because of the advancements in the technology like big data, cloud services and cyber security.  ZDNet recently reported that the position of chief digital officer will be Asia's hottest senior tech job in 2014. And it is already proving to be right. The role of a CDO is to help a company drive growth by converting traditional analog businesses to digital ones, and oversees those operations in the rapidly changing digital sectors like mobile applications, social media and related applications. 
Average Annual Base Salary: 6.01 lakh to 50.89 lakh
